Ozone Arc speed wing

Steep & Stable Big Mountain Wing

The Arc is optimized for big-mountain speedriding. It is capable of the steepest descent angles of any wing in our range. Its shortened line length and long trim range and long brake travel all enable highly dynamic slope riding, with the ability to rapidly take-flight.

Inflation & Launch

The Arc launches rapidly. It has the predictable and dependable launch behavior that is critical for dropping into steep big mountain lines. It inflates quickly even from a compressed layout.

On Snow

The Arc’s brake range is very long, longer than almost any speed wing we have flown. Its deep brake behavior allows you to make powerful inputs without stalling or over-controlling the wing. This same characteristic makes rapid disconnects and re-landings easy on steep lines, and enables freestyle maneuvers such as riding switch and taking grabs accessible earlier in a pilot’s skill-progression.

Trim Range & Glide

The Arc has the longest trim-range of any of Ozone Speedwing.  With trims fully released, its glide is very steep. Because the trim range is so extensive, it ships with the  final 3cm of trim-range stitched closed. It is up to the pilot to cut the stitching to access the full trim range. With trims pulled in, the Arc’s max glide is impressive for a ski-specific wing - it is comparable to the Dragonfly series.

Foot-launch Flights

Although designed with the Speedrider in mind, the Arc’s significant trims-in launch capability make it a fun, safe, and stable wing for foot-launched speed flying.  Many pilots prefer the feel of both the lighter weight fabric and risers, as well as the shorter line-lengths for intermediate-to-advanced level classic speedflying.

Materials & Design

A lighter system means lower sail inertia which means better behavior when navigating technical terrain at low speed with the wing unloaded due to the pilot riding on the surface. Light risers and fabric help the canopy to remain overhead at low airspeeds.  Sheathed lines provide durability and a new neoprene brake-handle design is optimized for gloves, with classic snaps rather than magnets.

The Pilot

The Arc serves a broad range of beginner to advanced speedriding pilots who want a wing capable of true speed riding. It is recommended for those with prior piloting paragliding or speed riding experience. It is available in three sizes: 12m / 10m / 8mArc
