The Advance PROGRESS 3 is a fully-functioning paraglider harness and rucksack. Its low weight (from 3.3 kg) and compact rucksack design make it ideal for everyone who prefers their paragliding equipment to pack up small, without compromising their comfort or protection.

Full Protection- Safety from the start

The Advance PROGRESS 3 has an Air-Foam Hybrid-Protector. Its foam-ribbed inner structure takes up its shape and fills with air within 60 seconds of the rucksack turning into a harness. This is how the Advance PROGRESS 3 provides full protection before takeoff.

The ergonomically-shaped PROGRESS 3 seat surface automatically takes up the pilot’s body shape in flight, substantial Legpads and ingenious lower back support also contribute to very comfortable hold. Which pilots is the PROGRESS 3 suitable for?
The all-in-one harness suits all those pilots who prefer their equipment as a compact, comfortable and light package, without having to sacrifice safety and robustness. The range of use starts with training, continues through thermal flying, travel, modest Hike&Flys up to freestyle manoeuvring.

What are the main differences from the PROGRESS 2?
The PROGRESS 3 has a detachable Air-Foam Hybrid-Protector. The previous model had a classic air bag.
The reserve compartment is incorporated in the Protector structure, under the pilot’s seat. Previously the reserve was stowed behind the pilot.
The stronger, longer Legpads make the PROGRESS 3 even more comfortable – giving the same freedom of movement on the ground.
Edelrid Foras carabiners (51gm, 23kN), with Antitwist carabiner inserts and wider opening gap replace the previous Edelrid Alias carabiner (58gm, 22kN).
What is the advantage of a detachable Protector?
If the protector gets damaged (e.g. by a harder than normal crash!), you can take it out and change it, instead of the whole harness. The same applies if harness damage (e.g. tear or hole), also affects the protector. The harness hole or tear can be repaired with a stick-on or sewn patch, and only the protector needs to be changed.
For an intended water landing for SIV training and deliberate reserve throwing practice the Protector can be removed before flight, thus avoiding the problem of a floating protector tipping the pilot over in the water.

Can I use the PROGRESS 3 with a foot rest?
Absolutely! An optional matching PROGRESS 3 foot rest is available. This is an approved part of the certification and comes with the speedbar in the “Soft” package.

Is there anything I must pay special attention to when dealing with the PROGRESS 3 Protector?
No. The Air-Foam Hybrid-Protector automatically inflates itself within 60 seconds of the rucksack turning into a harness. For maximum Protector life the harness should always be stored dry and the paraglider taken out of the rucksack when not in use.
