Ozone Buzz Z4
The Ozone Buzz Z4 is the latest development in the Intermediate and Sports Classes. The Buzz Z 4 is a very important model for Ozone to get absolutly right! The Ozone Buzz Z3 was, in many ways, one of the best paragliders that Ozone Gliders has ever produced, and is the paraglider wing that several of the team at Ozone choose to fly in their free time. Ozone's mission for the Ozone Buzz Z4 was to retain the incredible balance of comfort and agility that made the Ozone Buzz Z3 one of Ozone's all-time favourites and add some of the performance enhancing design features that have trickled down from the Ozone Performance Project. The Ozone Buzz Z4 has now benefitted from much of what Ozone have learned from their highest performing wings, such as the Ozone Enzo and Ozone R12.
All of this means that the Ozone Buzz Z4 is, in Ozone's opinion, the new standard for versatility in the intermediate class. No other wing that Ozone have flown offers such an attractive balance of XC performance and total comfort and ease of use. With its performance upgrade, the Ozone Buzz Z4 is a highly capable XC wing that will deliver long stress-free flights to veteran XC paraglider pilots or to newer low airtime paraglider pilots.

Designers Note
The Concept:
Feedback on the Ozone Buzz Z3 was universally positive and Ozone have done everything they can to retain all of its best features. Ozone simply aimed for more performance in a similar design frame, using some of the most recent exciting developments in paraglider design. The Ozone Buzz Z4 features the same amount of cells, same aspect ratio, and same planform of the Buzz Z3.
New Features:
Although the line drag has been reduced, the Buzz Z4 remains a 4-line design at the chord, for the perfect balance (for this AR and this class of wing) of stability, predictability, and ease of use. New intake shaping, in order to improve the internal pressure across a wider range of angles of attack and to reduce unwanted vibrations. The shaping of the paraglider wing has been slightly revised with the combination of 3D shaping and fine tuning, for a cleaner sail and a smoother, more cohesive feel. Ozone are still using the mini-ribs which reduce the trailing edge drag, helping performance without interfering in safety or comfort. Overall line length has been reduced, improving inflation characteristics, roll reduction, and decreasing total line drag by 13%. The combination of all of these optimisations has led to an improvement of the glide ratio by 0.6 to 0.8 pt over the previous version. More diagonals have been added on the back of the wing and near the tip for a more compact feel and a cleaner sail. The arc of the wing is close to what it was, with a variation near the tip. Combined with a new brake diagram, this has given the Ozone Buzz Z4 a more progressive feel in the turn. The accelerator system of the Ozone Buzz Z4 now features top of the line super-smooth Ronstan ball bearing pulleys.
