Ozone Alpina 3
The Ozone Alpina 3 is based on the Delta 3, but weighs in at an incredible 1kg less! It is a fully optimised high-performance lightweight wing with a powerful feel in active air.
MISSION
Same feeling, better performance: The top speed of the Ozone Alpina 3 has been increased and glide performance - particularly in accelerated flight – shows significant improvement throughout the speed range. We have paid special attention to the handling behaviour, concentrating on the precision of the brakes, especially in the first part of the range to create an efficient, elegant, and agile climbing machine. Compared to the D3, the Alpina 3 has even crisper, more agile, handling. It must be experienced to be believed.
PILOT
This is a lightweight XC machine designed for a wide range of pilots. It is suitable for those stepping up from the EN B categories and for more experienced pilots who seek comfort and ease of use in the performance XC class. Ozone Alpina 2 pilots will feel comfortable immediately and appreciate the improved handling and more precise feel.
TECH
All of the groundbreaking technology that has kept our performance wings consistently at the top of competition rankings is present in the A3. The most recent evolution of our OZONE Performance Project arc is present, and the sail cohesion, both spanwise and chordwise, is all improved. The early section of the control range is much more responsive, making micro-adjustments easier and improving thermalling performance significantly.
ASPECT RATIO
While the industry trend in this class of wing is to increase aspect ratio and squeeze the wing through EN tests, we decided to maintain the moderate and comfortable AR of the Alpina 2.
Overall, the Ozone Alpina 3 is a high-performance travel/hike and fly wing, ideal for experienced pilots who value low weight and low packing volumes without compromising performance.
