Club XC Week In Savoie - French Alps, Annecy, Bauges, Aravais region

This week in the French Alps is open to qualified pilots with at least 30 hrs experience (preferably more) to Introduce you to the delights of XC and thermal flying in this magnificent region.

 This is unquestionably one of the best places in the world to fly XC. Not only is the flying great, the conditions are often a little more mellow in in September, and the scenery is stunning, We have a great deal of experience in the area and are likely to visit many sites that are little used by British pilots, but give some fantastic start points for XC flying.

The accommodation is the lovely chalet-les-vernets (see pics); close to Albertville and many of the sites we want to access. The chalet sleeps 12  It is a nice chalet, not luxurious, basic, comfortable. Breakfast inc

It may be possible to collect a group from Lyon Airport,( Price TBA) if the flight times fit. If not, we can collect you from the train station. There are trains to Albertville from the Lyon Airport or Geneva airport is 2hrs. Local transport to and from sites will be via our minibus.

If you are booking the week before in Laragne we will offer a transfer by minibus to the Alps.

2mtr band radios for this trip ( we have some to hire if need be)

Vario (ideally with GPS) or mobile phone with GPS and tracker app

Travel Insurance to cover paragliding rescue and repatriation.
