Morocco Coast paragliding Course 10th-17th Feb  2024 (Half term)

This one-week Paragliding EP course or Flying holiday in Southern Morocco for is probably the best course available anywhere for complete beginners. The reason being it gives conditions for dynamic soaring, reverse launching practice as well as higher mountain light wind and thermals, making better trained and a better experience for students. Nowhere we have found develops students as well as this place!

It starts on the dunes of Aglou Plage, and by the end of the week, you should have completed EP, be flying off an 800' 25km ridge at Nid'aigle (eagles nest) and possibly started the first tasks of a BHPA CP Course. We will also be able to cater for CP+ pilots on this week with experienced guides and Instructors to help you improve all aspects of your flying.

Currently, If you are double vaccinated, there are no restrictions to enter Morocco from the UK 

Prices

Our prices for these courses are extremely competitive, as they are almost all inclusive; Transport, Air port transfers, Accomodation (shared Room) , Breakfast and evening meal, Tuition, are included. You need to pay for flights,(inc our hire glider as baggage) Insurance and BHPA membership and lunches/drinks. Generally you will spend very little money whilst there.

Equipment hire (1 week £150 )

Qualified Pilot (CP+ Pilot, Advanced Pilot) £699 per week

Non Flyer £375 per week shared room.

Who is this trip for:

Complete beginners can start their paragliding adventure on this course, It is also suitable for pilots who have had a lay off of 6 months or more to get back into the sport, with lots of ground practice and nice easy soaring conditions typically. Paramotor pilots may wish to take this course as a very important part of their training. Its just a great holiday for anyone looking for airtime and winter sun.

Getting there.. Flights are not included, and you will need to arrange your flights. The earlier you book them, the cheaper they are. If you can book early you may get flights for £150 or less, close to the departure maybe £200-250 Each student will be responsible for transporting the kit out, and possibly back to us. (please check with us before you book flights and baggage) Flights are available from Easyjet Gatwick to Agadir( if you take other flights and need to arrive early, it is easy to overnight in Morocco, rooms and taxi,s are cheap)
Staying there: We have a few great places to stay whilst there. Sometimes it will be at Hotel Abertih, or some apartments close by, with catering from the hotel, possibly even a night in a cave hotel, but where ever we stay, be prepared for an adventure and experience of the best kind. The course is HALF BOARD, evening meal and breakfast included!

Travel and Flight options. If you arrive on our dates, we will collect you and return you to the airport. It is possible to arrive before and leave after our dates, and taxis can be arranged to and from the Airport (Agadir 1.5 hrs Marrakech 5.5) There are also buses which are very cheap. We provide transport while you are there, and when you get to fly at Nigels there are lifts back up the mountain (no more walking (-:) There are many flights from Easy Jet, can be a good option if you book early. Charter flights can work. Please always check with us before booking flights unless you are prepared to make your own arrangements when you get there. EP-CP Students may need to Book baggage for a paraglider on this trip. Do not book baggage until a few days before departure. It can beadded to your flight booking.

Warning. Paragliding in Morocco is certainly for the adventurous, it is a wonderful experience in a different culture and for most people, it is a fantastic experience they remember for the rest of their lives. We strive to keep these courses as safe as possible, and at all times your safety is our priority. It should be noted that we are in remote locations without access to UK standards of rescue. Marrakech / Agadir hospitals are of a high standard, but there are no Helicopters for rescue or ambulances with Paramedic outside the city. Axis staff are remote location first aid trained and qualified, but each client should understand the dangerous nature of the sport they are undertaking, and the difficulties these locations can present. Each pilot must have an Insurance policy, to cover rescue and repatriation and medical expenses that specifically states the policy will cover paragliding activities.
